Bhopal: On Friday, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh's younger brother and Congress MLA Laxman Singh said that he misses Jyotiraditya Scindia in the party. Scindia, who rebelled against the Congress in 2020 and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, is currently a Union minister. As soon as Scindia left the Congress, the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh was reduced to a minority and later the Bharatiya Janata Party government was formed under the leadership of Shivraj Singh.
Laxman Singh said, 'I miss Scindia because his presence was beneficial for the Congress. There is no doubt that Scindia has potential and he is a very good speaker. It is worth noting that this statement of Laxman Singh has come at a time when his brother Digvijay Singh had said a few days ago that he is ready to contest against Scindia from Guna Lok Sabha seat if the party orders. Scindia had lost the 2019 election from his family's traditional stronghold of Guna. Talking to media, Laxman Singh also claimed that hundreds of BJP workers want to join Congress as they are unhappy with the saffron party and know what will be the outcome of the upcoming assembly elections.
Regarding the same film Kerala Story, Laxman Singh gave a statement contrary to the Congress leaders, saying, 'I have not seen the film and I cannot say how much truth has been shown in it or not. But such incidents happen in Kerala. Yes, there are many families who have fallen victim to it. I know because I worked there in the tea company in 1975. While answering the question of banning Bajrang Dal, Laxman Singh said, 'I don't think there is any need to ban Bajrang Dal. If someone is antinational, ban him, put him in jail, for that there is NIA. When the NIA is not saying anything, then I do not see anything anti-national in them.'
