Before the Dabbak by-election, cash was recovered from the relatives of bjp candidate. Surabhi Anjan Rao's residence is rs. The Bharatiya Janata Party fell in a tight corner on Monday after the seizure of 18.67 lakh cash. He is a close relative of M Raghunandan Rao BJP candidate for Dabbak by-election in Siddipet town.

After receiving reliable information that was stored in cash for election purposes, the police raided three places. SIDDIQUI Executive Magistrate V Vijay Sagar, with the help of the police, raided three houses of Siddipet Municipal Chairman Raja Nurse, BJP candidate Bava Surabhi Ram Gopal Rao and Anjan Rao. Exposing the ugly part of their politics, more than 250 BJP workers surpassed the small police forces with an executive magistrate at Anjan Rao's residence and snatched most of the cash seized during the clash with police.

This is the second instance of Raghunandan Rao seizing money with links. On October 6, the police recovered Rs 40 lakh from a BJP candidate in Shamirpet to Dabbak. Speaking to the media, Police Commissioner D Joel Davis said, Anjan Rao admitted that his brother Jitender Rao had sent money through his driver. Rao agreed that voters were meant for distribution between voters before the November 3 by-election, he said.
