Lucknow: Due to the global epidemic of coronavirus, Section 144 has been implemented in all districts of Uttar Pradesh, under which not more than 5 people will be able to gather at one place. The corona protocol will be strictly enforced even during campaigning in panchayat elections. For this, a letter has been sent to the District Magistrate and SP of all the districts. There is permission for gathering more than 100 people at any event with permission.

Seeing the rise in coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath has directed the state health department to deploy the nodal officer for all the corona hospitals. In the state, 4,164 cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. The CA, Yogi has also ordered the officials to constitute a 'monitoring committee' at the level of every gram panchayat and municipal ward. This is being done in view of panchayat elections. Yuva Mangal Dal members, watchmen, civil defense, and NGOs will be engaged in this work.

CM Yogi has also directed the officials to keep strict vigilance in districts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. CM Yogi said that the number of beds should be increased for patients suffering from the corona epidemic at SGPGI, King George Medical University, and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
