Southern Railroad to improve its services and travel experiences. In this queue, now travel time between Secunderabad and Vijayawada via Kakipeta will soon be reduced, with South Central Railway (SCR) carrying out the work of accelerating the speed of allowing at a maximum speed of 130 km.. This comes in the wake of the SCR upgrading the maximum allowable speed in the golden quadrilateral segments.

It should be noted here that the maximum allowable speed between Balharsha-Kazipeta-Vijayawada and Kajipeta-Secunderabad is currently 120 km. These routes are in the stage of upgrading at a speed of 130 km. As an early stage for measuring track parameters, research design and standards organization, Lucknow is conducting oscillation tests through a conformity occillary car run (COCR) comprising of 24 coaches of all classes.

However, better working officers are in the upgrade. After completion of speed trials and its related works, detailed report will be submitted to The Secunderabad Circle Commissioner Railway Safety to obtain the necessary clearances to increase all these routes at a maximum speed of 130 kmph. SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya said that speed in these important sections of the golden quadrilateral routes will increase the management of passenger and freight trains.
