Anantnag: Security forces get success in Jammu and Kashmir's militancy-hit southern district of Anantnag. The security forces were informed about the terrorists hiding there yesterday i.e. on Tuesday. After which the security forces laid siege to the whole area. On Wednesday morning, the terrorists saw themselves surrounded and started firing on the security forces. In this five-hour encounter, the Indian Army has killed three terrorists. Simultaneously, the search operation is going on.

Police said that three terrorists, including the commander of terrorist organization Hizbul, Nasir Chandru, were killed in this encounter. A search operation is now under siege of the entire area. A large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the terrorists. The militants in South Kashmir attacked for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. On Monday evening, after killing the truck-laden truck driver in Shopian, a grenade attacked the security forces at Pulwama Chowk on Tuesday evening.

However, the grenade did not fall on the road and explode. There was no loss of any kind. Meanwhile, police have detained 15 suspects for questioning after killing a truck driver in Shopian. Initial investigation revealed to the police that four terrorists were involved in the incident, one of whom is suspected to be Pakistani. It is said that two terrorists were in front of the truck and two were behind. Terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen is being told to be involved in the incident. According to the police, the body of the truck driver has been sent to Rajasthan after the post-mortem.
