While talking about his feeling behind the poem, the actor said," I can feel his condition. I sat in my AC thinking that in one room, there are all kinds of luxuries, but in another room, nobody has anything, not even water. It hurts me to see the laborers. India is our home, we are all part of one big family. We have left a large part of our country to walk on such a road." He adds, "I am questioning humanity. I saw a son carrying his mother, pregnant women, children. How can we all sit at home. I felt so helpless that I decided to convey my feelings to people through a poem."

He further said, "The basic question is why are they on the streets? And even after coming on the roads, no transport has been provided to them. What will children learn from this? Lack of humanity. I think those laborers should be taken into confidence saying that they need not panic. Secondly, they should be provided with basic groceries by social workers and volunteers forming separate teams. Just pray every day to reach home safely."
