New Delhi: Eminent journalist Rajiv Katara is no more. The media, spirituality and literature world were stunned as soon as the news of his death was received. There was an influx of those who paid tribute to him on social media. He died accidentally from Corona. After Diwali, he was admitted to a hospital in Delhi.

According to information provided by family sources, he was also donated plasma and kept on ventilator in the last days, but he could not be saved. Katara, who started a journalistic career from Chauthi Duniya newspaper, was rich in versatility. He was also a part of the initial team till date, for very short days. He also served for Sunday Observer, Kubera Times, Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar and Rashtriya Sahara.

When the Hindi Academy was doing a journalism course, Rajiv was working as a guest teacher there. His last innings was with Hindustan Times. He was the editor-in-charge of the group's literary-family magazine Kadambini till the day of the corona epidemic being shut down. He had a tremendous hold in spirituality and literature, his study of Krishna, Buddha, Kabir, Meera, Raidas, Rasakhan, Nizamuddin Auliya to Gandhi and Osho was amazing.
