During the opening trade on the first day of the last week of 2019, the Sensex recorded a jump of 94.52 points and it was seen doing 41,669.66. In addition, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also opened above 12,250 and was trading at a level of 12,273.40 with a gain of 27.60 points. Bank Nifty set a new record of 32502.80 during opening trade on Monday.

The companies which saw the fastest rise in the Nifty 50 include ITC (1.48 percent), GAIL (1.48 percent), Adani Ports (1.17 percent), INFRATEL (1.02 percent) and Cipla (0.99 percent). At the same time, the stocks which saw the biggest fall include Yes Bank (1.46 percent), BPCL (0.70 percent), Reliance Industries (0.61 percent), SBI (0.33 percent) and HDFC (0.26 percent).
