Sukhisewania police have nabbed a serial killer in the charge of killing a 35-year-old TV journalist in forest under Sukhisewania area on November 8, 2020. The accused had killed five persons in Gyaraspur of Vidisha district and served imprisonment. He was released from jail in 2017.
The Bhopal based TV journalist Adil Wahab was killed by Maniram Sen by taking him in the name of a treasure in the forest at Sukhisewania. Notably, on November 8, 2020, the deceased Adil Wahab used to work in KKR web news, was killed by smashing his head with a stone in the forest.
The accused took Rs 17000 in the name of providing details of the treasure but when he failed to provide any such detail of treasure and refund money, he took Adil on his scooter to the forest and killed him. Police said that in the investigation around 74 persons including relatives, friends and suspects were questioned which helped in narrowing down on the accused Maniram. After the murder police declared a reward of Rs 20000 on providing the details of killer.
Tracking deceased was difficult as he do not use mobile phone. Sen had killed five persons in the year 2000 in Gyaraspur of Vidisha district in the name of getting treasure by collecting money from the victims and to evade returning money he killed five persons and after the Maniram Sen remained absconding for one and a half years and later after been arrested he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
