New Delhi: Cyrus Poonawala, the founder of the serum company Serum Institute, which is preparing the vaccine for Corona, has agreed to keep 60,000 vaccine reserves for its Parsi community. The corona vaccine is currently undergoing trials and is being tested continuously in the lab. Talking to a private news channel, Bombay Parsi Panchayat Chairman Dinshaw Mehta and Adar Poonawala confirmed that if the Serum Institute manages to make Corona's vaccine, then 60,000 doses of it will be reserved for the Parsi community.
Adar Poonawala is the CEO of the Serum Institute of India. Pune-based Serum Institute of India is manufacturing the Corona vaccine of Oxford in India. According to the information given by Adar Poonawala, CEO of Serum Institute of India, the company is going to produce this vaccine on a large scale. Poonawalla told the media that the company will make 300-400 million doses of Oxford Vaccine Covishield by December.
He said that the value of this vaccine in India will be around 1 thousand rupees. The chairman of Bombay Parsi Panchayat Dinshaw Mehta had requested Cyrus Poonawala that the first few doses of this vaccine be reserved for the Parsi community. This appeal of Dinshaw Mehta has been accepted by Cyrus Poonawala.
