Adar Poonawala, Chief of Serum Institute of India (SII), has gladly accepted an invitation to the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple on January 22. Poonawala shared the news on the social media platform X, expressing his gratitude for the invitation extended through senior RSS officials.

In a post, he stated, "I am humbled to receive the invitation to the Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla Mandir at Ayodhya through senior RSS functionaries like Shri Manoj Pochat, Pracharak Shri Kedar Kulkarni & Shri Prasad Lawalekar. Wholeheartedly I have accepted the invitation, and it will be an honor to visit the Shri. Ram Mandir soon."

Other notable industrialists on the guest list include Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, and TS Kalyanaraman, MD of Kalyan Jewellers.

Politically, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and the Congress party have chosen to skip the ceremony. Pawar, in a letter to General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai, cited plans to visit Ayodhya for "darshan" after the event.

The Congress party accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of turning the Ram Mandir inauguration into a "political project" and, as a result, opted out of the pran pratishtha ceremony.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav confirmed his attendance at the ceremony, expressing his intention to visit the temple with his family afterward.

The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to attend the installation of the Ram Lalla idol at the grand temple. The ceremony, beginning on January 16 and lasting for seven days, has extended invitations to thousands of VIP guests. The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has made elaborate arrangements to welcome and honor attendees, offering special 'Ram Raj' gifts and distributing 'Motichoor laddus' made from desi ghee as 'Prasad' as part of the celebration.

A member of the Trust mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be presented with a 15-meter picture of the Ram temple enclosed in a jute bag featuring an image of the sacred structure. Over 11,000 guests nationwide have received invitations, and special arrangements are underway to provide memorable gifts to all attendees.
