New Delhi: Controversial news portal AltNews co-founder Pratik Sinha has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman. Sharing her ordeal on January 14, 2023, with the anonymous Instagram handle FightforJustworld, the woman said that Pratik Sinha is not only manipulative and a "sex maniac", but he also used the same methods to have physical relations with other women as he did with her.
The victim has said that her allegations can be denied by labeling her as an 'RSS puppet, BJP leader', etc as she is targeting AltNews. She also said that she has been fighting the right wing from the beginning and has her own ways of doing so. The woman said she had known Pratik Sinha for the past few years and was impressed by his work. When Sinha sent her a message on Facebook Messenger, she started talking to him. The woman also said that on the very first day, Pratik Sinha asked for her mobile number and she gave it due to trust. After that, the two started talking first on the message, then the call, and finally on the video call.

The woman alleged that Pratik Sinha expressed a "feeling beyond friendship" in less than two months. On this, the woman cited her education as the reason and said that the relationship is possible only after two years. Sinha then said it was fine and he would not continue to look for anyone else, the woman alleged. The woman further said that in the meantime, Pratik Sinha said that he did not want to continue this relationship further and then he would backtrack and insist on continuing the relationship. In May 2021, he expressed his desire to continue the relationship and spend time in it. The victim said Sinha wanted to have a "monogamous" and "exclusive" relationship with her.
The victim said that when she asked if she had an emotional or physical relationship with anyone else, Pratik said that he does not have a physical relationship with anyone since March 2019. In July 2021, Sinha called the victim to meet him before leaving for Kolkata in September, during which the two had a physical relationship. The woman alleged that she talked about marrying Sinha after finishing her studies, but Sinha later said that whatever he was saying about this relationship was just drama. The victim said that during this time Pratik Sinha was also having relations with other women. When the victim heard about the denial of marriage, she became extremely upset and warned Sinha that she would make the relationship public.
Meanwhile, a "friend" of Sinha came to sort out their relationship and told her that Sinha had sexual relations with several women, the victim said. The victim said she came to know from that female friend that pretending about a serious relationship and lying to get a woman in bed is Pratik Sinha's modus operandi. The victim has also alleged that the woman friend told her that Pratik Sinha is a sex maniac who is "restless for sex and can go to any extent to get women to his bed". Pratik's friend told the victim that he pressurized women to make video calls at night. The woman described Pratik Sinha as a "gazer at women's breasts."
