HYDERABAD: A hostel warden who is accused of sexually abusing minor boys at a private school hostel in Hayatnagar was arrested on Sunday.

Murram Krishna, a 35-year-old single male from Halligudem in the West Godavari district's Chintur mandal, has been named as the culprit.

The accused is accused of repeatedly assaulting the kids while moving close to them and even invading their personal space. If the students told anyone about the problem, he vowed to punish them severely.  The issue came to the eye of the police after a few boys, unable to tolerate the situation, informed their parents.

The Hayatnagar police said that Krishna abused at least seven young boys, according to early investigations.
The police filed charges against the warden under IPC 506 – criminal intimidation – as well as under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for aggravated sexual assault and sexual harassment.

On a complaint from a victim the police registered a case and arrested him. On interrogation, he admitted to misbehaving and sexually assaulting more children. The police registered seven cases against him. He is arrested and remanded.
