The owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders want to invest in the new tournament 'The Hundred' of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). According to reports, KKR owned by Shah Rukh Khan, is ready to invest in the 100-ball competition. The competition was to start in July this year but due to the Covid-19 epidemic, it has been postponed to next year. KKR owners also have a stake in the 'Caribbean Premier League' to be held in the West Indies. KKR bought the Trinidad franchise in 2015.

Before this, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) canceled the contract of Manglawar for the players who participated in the first season of 'The Hundred' tournament.
