New Delhi: In the past, the case of violence in Delhi has created an atmosphere of panic in the hearts and minds of the people. At the same time, the proposed demonstration by the Hindu army was canceled on Sunday, March 1, 2020, amidst the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Shaheen Bagh area. Despite this, as a precautionary measure, the police not only made strong security arrangements there, but Section 144 has been implemented in the entire north-eastern district. The police feared that the situation could worsen with the mob. In view of this, in addition to the local police, paramilitary forces personnel were deployed. Sources say that Joint Commissioner of Police of Southern Range Devesh Srivastava and DCP RP Meena of South Eastern District were also present to keep an eye on the situation.

According to the information received, it has been learned that Joint Commissioner of Police Devesh Srivastava told that the Hindu army had called for a demonstration to vacate the road in Shaheen Bagh. Vishnu Gupta of the Hindu Army had tweeted that the police had failed to remove the anti-citizenship law protesters in Shaheenbagh. In such a situation, at ten o'clock in the morning, they will unite and open the closed road. On receiving this information, DCP RP Meena held a meeting with Hindu Army officials and explained them. BJP MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from Badarpur assembly constituency was also included in the talks. On explaining all this, people backed out of the demonstration.

But in this case, DCP Meena said that even after the withdrawal of the demonstration by the Hindu army, full care was taken in view of security. 12 contingents, including two contingents of women police personnel, have been deployed here. Apart from this, local and reserve police forces have also been deployed. It is worth noting that the road leading from Sarita Vihar to Noida in Shaheenbagh area is completely closed from December 15.
