After winning the hearts of the audience with his acting and dance skills, versatile actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to turn producer for his upcoming venture Dingko Singh biopic.In this film he will also portray the titular character. It will be based on the life of legendary Manipuri boxer Ngamgamo, who won a gold medal at the age of 19 in 1998 at the Bangkok Asian Games, which was held in Thailand.

According to the report, Shahid has brought the rights of Dingko Singh story and has appointed Raja Krishna Menon to direct the biopic. They have joined hands to produce the film. It will be shot primarily in Manipur, besides Delhi, while an international schedule is also being planned.
Source also suggest that “It’s a difficult script to write, so it has taken time, but it will go on the floors this year. Raja is currently putting the research together with his writers.”
The biographical sports drama will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon, who previously helmed Akshay Kumar's Airlift and Saif Ali Khan's Chef. The film is currently in the scripting stage and will go on floors later this year. Meanwhile, Haider actor is currently shooting for Kabir Singh, which is the remake of Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu hit Arjun Reddy.
