The organizers of the CPL said that the tournament will start from August 18 and the final match will be played on September 10.

That is, all the matches will be in Trinidad. Also the matches will be held in empty stadiums. Not only this, the organizers have recommended cutting the salary of big players by 30 percent. There will be no reduction in the salary of players who earn 20 thousand dollars.
There will be two matches 6 days a week, players have been ordered to reach Trinidad by 1 August and they will have to remain quarantined as per the instructions of the Trinidad government. If the tournament is being completed in very short days, then there will be two matches on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Also, there will be no playoff system this time. The competition will have two semi-finals and one final. As per the tournament rules, all the players will have to stay in the hotel and they will be accompanied by members of the Medical Advisory Committee. Match officials, not just the players, will also have to face a 30 per cent match fee reduction.
