Nalanda: An incident that shames humanity has come to light from Nalanda district in Bihar. Amarjeet Kumar, 30-year-old son of Ashok Paswan, resident of Paswan Tola of Hilsa city, reached the hospital after his health deteriorated. Amarjeet is physically handicapped. The family members demanded an ambulance from the hospital, but the ambulance was not found. Thereafter, Amarjeet was taken to the hospital by lying on a vegetable cart.

According to the news received, after reaching the hospital, the doctors declared Amarjeet dead. Even after Amarjeet's death, no vehicle could be available in the hospital. According to family members, after this the doctors asked to take the dead body soon. The family then carried Amarjeet's body on a handcart and took it home. It is alleged that there is a severe lack of health facilities in the sub-divisional hospital. The only ambulance in the hospital is never empty. There is no arrangement for transporting the dead body or the patients.

After Amarjeet's death, when the matter came to the news, CS RK Raju said that there is already a shortage of ambulances in Hilsa sub-divisional hospital. For this, the district administration has demanded to increase the hospital ambulance. Patients come to the hospital in large numbers from the area. Patient suffers due to non-availability of ambulance. A vehicle should also be arranged to carry the dead body to the hospital. At present there is only one ambulance available in the hospital.
