Those men caught the woman in the field in the dark of night and this thing was told in the whole village. Thereafter, preparations were made to beat up the woman.

In the morning a panchayat was held on the woman and the woman was made to appear there. Then on the orders of the panchayat, all the criminals used raw bamboo sticks (karchi) in the fire and the woman was beaten up with it. Due to this, the clothes of the woman were also opened and people beat her till she fainted.

After the woman fainted, some people were seen defending her. Thereafter, the woman was picked up and taken to the hospital for treatment. The victim woman told that around 10 o'clock in the night she had gone to the maize field near the house for defecation. Because of this, Shankar Das, Pintu Das, Pradeep Das and Abhay Das of the village caught him and started asking who is with you in the corn field? The woman said, when I told that there was no one, they started beating me. The victim told that he is already having fights with these persons.
