Mumbai: NCP chief Sharad Pawar today refused to immediately remove state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh amid ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra. He said the allegations against Anil Deshmukh are serious, but his resignation will be considered by CM Uddhav Thackeray. At the same time, Sharad Pawar said that the case will not affect the image of the government.

Sharad Pawar further said that former Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has leveled serious allegations against Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Deshmukh was charged, but the evidence has not been given. He also said that the letter does not say who went to the money. Also, the letter is not signed by Parambir Singh. Sharad Pawar, in his press briefing today, termed the allegation of 100 crore recovery against state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh as serious. But on the reinstatement of Sachin Vaze, he said that API Sachin Vaze was reinstated not by CM Thackeray but by police commissioner Param Bir Singh.

Sharad Pawar said the CM has the right to make a decision. Parambir did not accuse the Home Minister of being the Police Commissioner. The CM will take a decision only after an investigation in this regard. He said the allegation will not affect the image of the government. However, the government may try to destabilize.
