Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar's assets have increased by Rs 60 lakh to Rs 32.73 crore in the last 6 years. This information is given in an affidavit filed by Pawar. He has filed nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha election to be held on 26 March in Mumbai on Wednesday. In his affidavit, Pawar has also announced a liability of one crore rupees, which he received from his nephew Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar and grandson Parth Pawar as an advance in exchange for share transfer.
In the 2014 Rajya Sabha election, Pawar had reported total assets of Rs 32.13 crore including movable assets of Rs 20,47,99,970.41 and immovable assets of 11,65,16,290. However, Pawar did not mention any liability at that time. According to the affidavit filed on Wednesday, former Union Minister Pawar has given details of total assets of Rs 32.73 crore including movable assets of Rs 25,21,33,329 and immovable assets of Rs 7,52,33,941.

The affidavit filed on Wednesday stated that Pawar's wife Pratibha Pawar received Rs 50 lakh as an advance in lieu of share transfer on behalf of Sunetra Pawar. Similarly, according to the rules of the undivided Hindu family, Pawar has received Rs 50 lakh as an advance in lieu of share transfer on behalf of grandson Parth Pawar. Thus his total liability is Rs 1 crore.
