According to information, A man allegedly murdered his father, who was a retired Indian Navy Personnel. After committing the gruesome murder, He chopped and dumped the body of the father with the help of his mother.
After chopping the body the parts were thrown in the ponds and thickets in their area. A missing complaint was filed by the mother and her son for allegedly misleading the police. The police started investigating the matter. The incident came to light and the probe intensified after the man's body parts floated up in a pond in Baruipur's Hariharpur.
According to the Police, The body was highly decomposed and was wrapped in plastic. Police have identified the deceased victim as Ujjwal Chakraborty (55), who was a resident of Khas Mallick and a retired Navy officer. The incident comes under the jurisdiction of the Baruipur police station. The body of the deceased has several injury marks.
After investigating and interrogating in the matter, police have identified the accused as his wife Shyamali (48) and son Joy (25). The mother and son also confessed to the crime after they were interrogated for hours by the police.Joy had allegedly murdered his father following a heated argument over a monetary dispute.
According to Baruipur SP Pushpa said that the duo was arrested after preliminary post-mortem reports indicated that there were injury marks and the victim was strangulated.
Police said, "Joy, who studies carpentry at a polytechnic, had asked for Rs 3,000 to appear in an examination. He claimed Ujjwal not only refused to give him the money but slapped him. Enraged, Joy pushed his father who fell and struck his head against a chair. In a fit of rage, Joy strangled him." Further investigation is going on to the matter.
