Mumbai: The 72nd Republic Day is being celebrated across the country on January 26, 2021. The domestic stock market is closed on the occasion. Today, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) are not being traded. On January 27, the stock market will start trading in general. Last week, BSE's 30-share Sensex fell 156.13 points or 0.31 percent.

The settlement of monthly derivatives contracts before the general budget and the quarterly results of the companies may see fluctuations in the stock markets in this week. Experts have predicted this. According to Siddhartha Khemka, retail research chief of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., "the market may be in turmoil before the end of the Union budget and monthly deals in the coming days. The quarterly results of the companies would also increase market volatility. The Federal Reserve's monetary policy is also going to be announced this week.''

BSE Sensex crossed the historic level of 50,000 points for the first time last week. Market analysts believe that profit collection in the market may run in the coming days. Analysts said that now all eyes are on the budget for the financial year 2021-22.
