Today, the third trading day of the week means Wednesday, the stock market started well. The Bombay Stock Exchange's major index Sensex and the National Stock Exchange's Nifty opened on the green mark. The Sensex opened at 40835.03, up 290.66 points (0.72 per cent). The Nifty started 61.75 points (0.52%) at 11,958.55. According to experts, the market will continue to fluctuate further. Therefore, investors should be careful.
International markets saw an increase on Tuesday. The US market Dow Jones was up 113.37 points at 28,308.80, up 0.40%. Nasdaq gained 43.49 points to end at 11,677.80 points. The S&P 500 index gained 0.47% to close at 3,443.12. The market was boosted by the hope of a US stimulus package.
However, there was a sell-off in the European stock market on Tuesday. The UK's FTSE index closed flat. France's CAC index and Germany's DAX index closed down. Today, Japan's Nikkei index is trading up 102 points to 23,669 in Asian markets. China's Shanghai Composite Index has a moderate decrease of 11.75 points. Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of BPCL, Tata Steel, IOC and IndusInd Bank started on the green mark. Bajaj Finance, Gail, Hindalco and Shree Cement started on shortage.
