New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has claimed that presenting Hindutva politically is nothing but an attack on Hinduism. He also said that "Hindu religion, which has wished for world welfare for millennia, has shown its resistance to external attacks, but due to the attacks from inside, now this religion is showing its weakness.

In his new book, 'The Hindu Way - An Introduction to Hinduism', Tharoor ponders deeply on ego philosophies of Hinduism such as Advaita Vedanta and draws attention to the initial assumptions that are the basis of religion. This book is a sequel to the series of his earlier book 'YIMA Hindu'. Tharoor wrote in the book that, Hinduism is known for its openness, respecting other views and accepting other beliefs.
