New Delhi: In a major relief to its passengers, The Indian Railways has restored the mega facility of providing bedrolls in trains with immediate effect. A notification in this regard was issued on Thursday (March 10). According to it, the Ministry of Railways will now again provide blankets and pillows etc. to the long-distance passengers.

It is worth mentioning that since the corona epidemic came in the year 2020, the passengers were stopped giving sheets, pillows and blankets. No matter how long they had to travel, they had to manage for themselves. In that case, they also had problems. But now, as per the instructions from the railways, it has been announced to restore this service with immediate effect. From today onwards, all the passengers who travel by Indian Railways will be given blankets, pillows and sheets.

In this regard, the Railway Board has issued orders to the General Managers of all railway zones directing them to start the supply of these items with immediate effect. There was reportedly a demand from the passengers to restore this facility for a long time. In view of this demand, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had assured to start the bedroll facility at the earliest during his visit to Varanasi.
