Today is the birth anniversary of Former Delhi CM, former Kerala governor, and veteran Congress leader Sheila Dikshit. Sheila Dikshit, who was born on March 31, 1938, took her education from the Convent of Jesus and Mary School in Delhi, later graduated from Miranda House College, and letter married to renowned freedom fighter and former governor and minister in the Union Cabinet, in the family of Shri Uma Shankar Dikshit. Shri Vinod Dikshit was a member of the Indian Administrative Service, has two children, a son, and a daughter.

Sheila Dikshit is the first woman chief minister of the country to take over as chief minister three consecutive times. She was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly for the third consecutive time on December 17, 2008. She had to resign from her post after Congress defeated her in the assembly elections held in 2013. Sheila Dikshit was the second woman chief minister of Delhi, declared as the Congress party's chief ministerial candidate in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections in 2017. Sheila Dikshit also assumed the post of minister in the central government from 1986 to 1989. Earlier, she was the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, and later, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office. In the post of Chairman of The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, in 1998, the Congress-led by Sheila Dikshit won 43 seats out of 70 in the assembly elections held in 2008.

Sheila Dikshit has made tireless efforts for women's upliftment. She also represented India in the Women's Level Committee of the United Nations for five years (1984-89). Sheila, along with her 82 colleagues in Uttar Pradesh, had a 23-day jail visit in August 1990 when she stood up to protest against the atrocities of society on women, in 1970, she was also the Chairperson of the Young Women's Association, Sheila Dikshit is also secretary of the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust, the trust has made its place internationally. , the same trust gives her the Indira Gandhi Award for Peace, Disarmament, and organizes conferences on worldwide subjects. On July 20, 2019, Sheila Ji said goodbye to the world, bowing down to our side on her birthday.
