Lucknow: Lucknow Shia and Sunni Markji Chand Committee have announced that Moharram's moon has been seen on 20 August. Therefore, 21 August will be the first date of Moharram, while on 30 August, there will be 'Yom-e-Ashura'. Maulana Khalid Rashid and Maulana Saif Abbas have announced this. In Lucknow, Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad has expressed his displeasure with the police for not allowing the Tajis to be taken away from the house amid the Moharram.

With this, Lucknow Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey has been asked to submit a memorandum and take permission to take it to Tajia. Not only this, he has said that if the police does not allow them to do so, they will give their arrest. Kalbe Jawad alleges that in the Moharram procession, the police is not allowing to carry the Tajiya nor is it allowed to sell the goods. The police is referring to the Corona epidemic which is unconstitutional. Because whatever activity is being done in Moharram, it is being done following the guidelines of Kovid-19. In such a situation, the followers are facing problems.

Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad met the Lucknow Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey on Thursday and submitted a memorandum. He told that Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey has said that he will take a decision in this regard only after meeting with the Maulanas on Thursday night.
