Talking about her role, the Mumbai actress says, “I play a news reporter in the NNOR. It is a light-hearted entertainer that will provide laughs. However, there is a message towards the end of the film that will make the audience think as they leave the theatres,” she told DTNext. The actress tells us that she was given videos of a few news reporters in order to prep for the role. “It was quite taxing for a debut film. I am completely new to the language and I had to get the dialogues right. I managed to do that and now I can manage Tamil,” she added.

The actress further said that she has now got a hang of the Tamil language to the extent that she can, in all probability, strike a conversation in Tamil if required. Shirin recalled shooting for the film and said, “I think I have already worked with one of the best teams in Kollywood. My director Karthik and co-star Rio Raj were very understanding and supportive. I should say that they had a lot of patience with me whenever I forgot my lines. They also helped me with it and told me the meaning that helped me get my expressions right.”
