Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has started an exercise to form a national front against the Modi government at the Centre. SAD has also set up a Mumbai unit and has made it a surprise. Paramjit Kaur Pinky has been appointed as the party's state president. After meeting Shiv Sena chief and CM Uddhav Thackeray of Maharashtra in Mumbai on Sunday, SAD leaders are now planning to meet former CM of Uttar Pradesh and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on a national front campaign against NDA.
Let us say that after the BJP-led alliance is separated from NDA, Shiad has started an exercise to form a national front against the centre. A team of party leaders led by senior SAD leader Prem Singh Chandadmamra is discussing with the leaders of governments of non-BJP ruled states and other major opposition parties.
After the recent meeting with Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, SAD has also pointed out the appointment of Paramjit Kaur Pinky as chairman of the State of Mumbai on Thursday. Before meeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, SAD leaders have also met CM and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.
