Mumbai: Politics continued in Maharashtra yesterday over the decoration of the grave of Yakub Memon, the perpetrator of the Mumbai bombings (1993). BJP alleges that attempts were being made to make terrorist Yakub's grave a tomb. It is alleged that due to the government of Mahavikas Aghadi, an attempt was made to make Yakub Memon's grave a tomb. Politics is happening on this now. BJP is besieging Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar. On the other hand, there is a counterattack from Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena says that when the terrorist's body was not to be handed over to the family, then why did the BJP government give Yakub's body to his family members? On the other hand, an NC (National Conference) leader said that there is nothing wrong in all this.

The same matter was first raised by BJP leader Ram Kadam. He had alleged that Yakub Memon's grave was being converted into a tomb. He also posted some photos of it. After this, the uproar started, one after the other the statements of the leaders started coming on it. BJP leader Kirit Soumaya today also went outside the Marine Lines graveyard where this grave is located. He said that the martyr memorial will not be allowed to be built here on the grave of the perpetrator of the bomb blast. Along with Shiv Sena, in the case of Yakub, the BJP also surrounded Congress. BJP leader Shahzad Poonawalla wrote that the matter is not limited to the decoration of Yakub's grave. The Mahavikas Aghadi government loved Yakub more. So Congress leader Aslam Shaikh, who had demanded an apology for Yakub, was later made a minister.

The same Aaditya Thackeray asked why Yakub Memon's body was not thrown into the sea like Osama bin Laden. Whose government was it then? He said that the allegations against Shiv Sena are false. When Yakub was buried, a lot of security was put in place. Why was there such an honour? Will there be any action on this? The same National Conference leader Mustafa Kamal said on this that this is a way of expressing love. This does not weaken one's religion and there is nothing wrong in it (decoration).
