Today on Friday (September 9), a bench of Chief Justice UU Lalit, Justice Ravindra Bhatt and Justice PS Narasimha heard the petition. According to reports, the Supreme Court said 'It does not seem to be harmful to see, but it has far-reaching consequences. One should always be cautious while issuing directions to the court. Our suggestion is to take it back.' Let us tell you that during a TV debate, due to the remarks made by Nupur Sharma, there was a big uproar. Violent demonstrations took place in many parts of the country, provocative slogans of 'Sar Tan Se Juda' were raised on the streets and common citizens like Kanhaiyalal, Umesh Kolhe were publicly killed by the fundamentalists.

The petition was filed in the apex court by advocate Abu Sohail through advocate Chand Qureshi. The petition sought an "independent, credible and impartial inquiry". The special thing is that the Supreme Court had already said to transfer all the FIRs registered in the case to the Delhi Police.
