Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has recently taken a major decision on outstanding electricity bills. Recently Shivraj Government has given special relief to the defaulters. It is being said that the surcharge will be waived on the consumer if he deposits the entire bill simultaneously. Not only this but a special relief of 40 percent will also be given to the consumer.

On the other hand, if the consumer cannot deposit the bill money in a lump sum, he will be given one year's time. It will facilitate the submission of bills in six varieties a year and a discount of 25 per cent. Not only that but the surcharge will also be waived off. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by CM Shivraj Singh yesterday. After the meeting, state government spokesperson and Home Minister Narottam Mishra briefed the media about the decision taken in the Cabinet.

In his statement, he said, "The decision on electricity bills will bring a lot of relief to the people. He said, "If one's outstanding electricity bill is Rs. 1,000, he will have to deposit only Rs. 600 with 40 percent relief. If one cannot deposit the entire amount at the same time, the bill can also be paid in instalments. Relief on surcharge has also been given to the consumers. '
