New Delhi: Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, has strongly criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his recent statements made during his visit to Texas and Dallas, USA. Chauhan accused Gandhi of tarnishing India's image abroad and betraying the country.

Chauhan remarked, "Rahul Gandhi, as a representative of the country, should not be undermining India's reputation abroad. His actions seem to be an attempt to express his frustration after losing elections three times by damaging India's standing, as he did in the US." He emphasized that Indians traveling abroad should represent the nation, not their political affiliations.

Reflecting on his own experience during Dr. Manmohan Singh's tenure, Chauhan defended the Indian Prime Minister against criticism, stating, "An Indian Prime Minister can never be an underachiever. He is the country's leader."

Chauhan also defended the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), asserting that the Sangh has produced many individuals who have dedicated their lives to the nation. He acknowledged Gandhi's point that "nobody is afraid of Modi," but countered that while people may not fear Modi, they love him, which is why he was elected for a third term.

The Union Minister praised the current administration's achievements, highlighting that under Modi's leadership, India has become the fifth-largest economy and is poised to become the third-largest. He lauded the progress in indigenous production under Modi's tenure.

In response to Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, Chauhan criticized Gandhi's inability to connect with the people of India, stating, "Rahul Gandhi ji, with a small heart, can never be big."

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao also weighed in, accusing Gandhi and the Congress party of consistently discrediting India on the global stage. Sao stated, "Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party always bring disrepute to India before the world. They have been doing this continuously, as seen during elections. The Gandhi family and Congress party cannot tolerate the country's progress, prestige, and pride."

Sao further criticized the Congress party's historical attacks on the Indian Constitution, saying, "People know who has a history of attacking the Constitution of India. The Congress party and its governments, including Rahul Gandhi's ancestors, have attacked the Constitution numerous times—something he should remember."

On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi addressed unemployment issues during his visit to Dallas, Texas. He criticized India for focusing on consumption rather than production, stating, "The act of production creates jobs. What we do, what the Americans do, what the West does, is we organize consumption." Gandhi compared the current global production landscape to past decades, noting that while countries like China now dominate production, the West, including India, has shifted focus away from it.

Gandhi also discussed ideological differences with the RSS, stating, "The RSS believes that India is one idea and we believe that India is a multiplicity of ideas." He emphasized that Congress supports inclusion and diversity while accusing the Prime Minister of attacking the Indian Constitution. Gandhi was welcomed in Dallas by Sam Pitroda and members of the Indian diaspora.
