Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan declared on Saturday that the kin of three police officers killed by poachers in Guna this morning will receive an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore each and a government job.

"They will be declared martyrs, and their families would receive Rs 1 crore each. Each of their families will be assigned a government job. The government would ensure that the final rituals of those who have been killed are performed with dignity "Chouhan stated.

The MP administration has also decided to remove the Inspector-General of Gwalior for arriving late at the scene, according to the Chief Minister.

The sacrifices of the murdered police officers Rajkumar Jatav, Niraj Bhargav, and Santram, according to Chouhan, will not be in vain. He stated that the police had identified the offenders and that the accused will face severe punishment.

"When confronted with poachers, our police officers made the ultimate sacrifice. A body was discovered in a neighbouring village, shot to death. I admire their bravery. The criminals are nearly identified. They will not be spared at any cost, and their punishment will be exemplary. Police have been dispatched. More investigation is underway "he said.
