Mumbai: Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh wrote a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray accusing Home Minister Anil Deshmukh that he has given a target of recovering Rs 100 crore per month from restaurants and bars to Sachin Waje, including other police officers. In response to this, the opposition has now become an attacker. Many leaders, including Narayan Rane, are demanding imposition of the President's rule in the state, alleging that law and order in the state are over.
Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut has today attacked those trying to impose President's rule in the state. Speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut said "'those who are trying to impose the President's rule in the state by taking the help of central investigative agencies, I want to say that if such an effort happens in Maharashtra, all will be in that fire will also be burnt. Rather the central government should be sacked. After this, we will not reply to the allegations of the opposition."
At the same time, Union Social Justice Minister Ramdas Athawale, while speaking to the media, reacted to the statement of Sanjay Raut that "On the basis of morality, Anil Deshmukh should resign. Rather, he should have given it even by now. There is no law and order in the state. I repeat my demand to impose President's rule in the state."
