Ayodhya: Party chief Uddhav Thackeray along with 20 Shiv Sena MPs visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Sunday. Now, he is going to hold press talks in a short while. The Ayodhya tour of Uddhav is being linked to this year's Maharashtra Assembly elections. Banners and saffron flags were installed at several places in the city to welcome Uddhav Thackeray.

Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said on Saturday that Shiv Sena believes that PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will urge the court to resolve the Ayodhya dispute. On Uddhav Thackeray's visit to Ayodhya, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said that when the party chief visited Ayodhya in November last year, he had promised to come back after the elections. He has reached Ayodhya to fulfill his promise. In the Lok Sabha elections, 18 Shiv Sena MPs have been elected. In addition, the Rajya Sabha also has two MPs.

All these MPs are said to have been asked by Uddhav to reach Ayodhya by Saturday evening. Uddhav Thackeray himself has reached Ayodhya. After that, Thackeray, along with all 20 MPs from the party, visited Ramlala. On Thackeray's visit to Ayodhya, Raut said that Ram Lalla is not a state of mind for the Shiv Sena but a matter of faith.
