Many times his statements have also led to controversy and this time after a statement, the legal advisor of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started legal action against him.

Shoaib Akhtar recently posted a video on his YouTube channel, in which he was speaking about the PCB's ban on Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal. During this, he made a controversial statement about PCB legal advisor Tafjul Rizvi. In response to this statement of Akhtar, now Rizvi has filed a defamation suit. The PCB said in a statement that Rizvi has filed a criminal case against Akhtar along with defamation. At the same time, a case has also been filed with the Federal Investigation Agency under cybercrime.

Pakistan Cricket Board has said in its statement that it is disappointed with the words used by Akhtar. The PCB said, "The PCB is frustrated with the words socially used by Akhtar against the legal department of PCB and its advisor. The language used by Akhtar is inaccurate and derogatory and used in civilized society. can not be done."

It was told that 'do take ka vakal': Akhtar was talking about a three-year ban imposed by PCB on Omar Akmal on his YouTube channel. Akhtar made fun of Rizvi and questioned his legal experience and said that he has always created problems between the players and the PCB. Akhtar had said, "Nobody knows the lawyers of two taka. Fazal Rizvi makes money, confuses the case and then loses". Shoaib also called for a 3-year ban on Omar Akmal more.
