South Indian film actor Vijay seems to be getting caught up in problems. The Madras High Court has criticised Tamil actor Vijay and said reel life heroes are reluctant to pay tax. In fact, in 2012, actor Vijay imported a Rolls Royce Ghost car for himself from England. Vijay had then filed a petition seeking relief in entry tax levied on import of the train. The court has now dismissed the petition and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Vijay for not paying tax.
The actor had moved the court against the tax levied by the commercial tax department. The money will now be deposited in the Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund to fight corona. Not only that, the court dismissed the petition and even said, 'They have millions of fans. All the fans see the film stars as real heroes. In a state like Tamil Nadu, where film stars have also become the ones who run the state, they are not expected to be treated only as reel heroes. Tax evasion is unconstitutional.'
