HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a man strangled his mother to death and buried her as he felt her to be a burden.

The horrifying incident took place in Telangana's Kamareddy district. Police claim that a man named Chinna Balayya strangled his elderly and bedridden 80-year-old mother E. Balavva with a piece of cloth before burying her.

Balayya revealed his mother's disappearance to his Sadashiv Nagar neighbours a few days ago. According to him, the room she was living in was discovered to be locked from the outside.

A local public official, though, began to doubt his account. A police complaint was made by Beeraiah, a Mandal Parishad Territorial Committee (MPTC) member. The terrible information was uncovered by the police investigation.

In admitting to killing his mother, Balayya. He claimed to be unable to care for her and that she had become a burden for him. He killed his mother with a piece of cloth on the evening of April 13. Then, after digging a ditch, he moved her body to a desolate area behind a rice mill and buried her there.

On Monday, the body was extricated by police in front of local civic officials, and it was then taken for an autopsy. Circle Inspector Raman stated, "We have detained the suspect and are continuing our investigations.
