New Delhi: Rakesh Tikait, who is leading the Kisan movement, is in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, today. Rakesh Tikait has arrived in Lucknow to participate in the Mahapanchayat. Rakesh Tikait also faced questions related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC) ahead of the mahapanchayat, which is taking place after the announcement of withdrawal of agricultural laws.

Rakesh Tikait was questioned about AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi's demand to scrap the CAA on the lines of the three agricultural laws. Rakesh Tikait Kanni was seen cutting off this question related to Asaduddin Owaisi. Rakesh Tikait appeared to avoid speaking directly on this question. Rakesh Tikait attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Asaduddin Owaisi in response. He said, "BJP and Asaduddin Owaisi are uncles and nephews. If the nephew asks for it, the uncle will withdraw it too.' Rakesh Tikait appeared to avoid openly expressing his opinion on the return of the two laws.

PM Narendra Modi had announced the withdrawal of agriculture law. The demand to withdraw the CAA is also gaining momentum thereafter.
