Shraddha Murder Case: Police Take Accused Aftab To Mehrauli Jungle

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police today, November 15,took Aftab Poonawala, the culprit in the Shraddha murder case, to the jungle in Delhi's Mehrauli location where he allegedly dumped the victim's body after cutting her body in 35 parts.

The police said that they have seen around ten samples of the remains suspected to be of a human. The samples have been sent for forensic examination. Furthermore, the samples will be sent to match the DNA of Shraddhda's father.

The accused Brought Aftab Poonawala out of the Mehrauli Police Station. He is currently being brought to the location in the bush where he allegedly dumped some of Shraddha's body parts.

Aftab allegedly also dumped her phone, which has not yet been found, o the police said.. The tool Aftab used to sever her body into pieces is also being sought after by the authorities. According to the police, Aftab used her Instagram account to create the appearance that she was still alive. A mutual friend of the two has also been contacted by the police for interrogation regarding the incident.

Aftab Poonawalla, the accused in the murder of Shraddha Walker, was a food blogger who had previously worked in a call centre in the national capital, Delhi Police said. The police are now looking into whether he rented a home in Delhi's Chhatarpur area as part of a plot to assassinate the victim.

The police investigation has also came to light that the couple had frequent fights.
