New Delhi: Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), Gujarat Titans (GT) had included Shubman Gill in their squad as a draft. This was said to be a big step by the Gujarat franchise, but in the first match, he was out a duck. In such a situation, questions were raised about the decision of the team, but it is said that not everyone is known by their beginning, but by the end and something similar has been done by Shubman Gill and has made history in this tournament.  

In IPL 2022, even though in the first innings, he returned to the pavilion without opening an account, but in the final of this season, he stood firm till the end and returned only after giving the team the title. In this match, Shubman Gill scored 45 not out off 43 balls with the help of 3 fours and a six. This was Shubman Gill's innings, on the basis of which Gujarat never looked weak in the match. Gill scored a total of 483 runs in 16 innings of 16 matches of this IPL, including 4 half-centuries. He was the second-highest run-scorer for Gujarat. For Gujarat, Hardik Pandya scored 487, Gill 483 and David Miller 481.
