New Delhi: The Supreme Court has extended till the third week of July a moratorium on the proposal to demolish about 200 jhuggis in the country's capital Delhi's Sarojini Nagar and asked the central government to conduct a survey to verify the slum dwellers there. instructions have been given. The bench had taken note of the submissions of advocates Vikas Singh and Aman Panwar, appearing for two minor residents, including a slum girl Vaishali, that their class 10 board exams are starting from April 26. Vaishali had told the court that thousands of people would be evicted without any other rehabilitation plan.
