Sikh devotees increases corona in Punjab, number of patients reaches 1232

Amritsar: Sikh devotees returning to Punjab from Nanded in Maharashtra have become the biggest problem for the state. In Punjab, the number of cases of corona infection has increased to 1232. The surprising thing is that out of these total corona infected 795 cases are related to those Sikh devotees who were recently brought back from Nanded.

Between the third phase of lockdown, the speed of corona is increasing rapidly across the country and meanwhile 132 new corona cases have been found in Punjab on Monday. The total number of corona infected in the state has crossed 1200. Of the total corona patients, 795 patients are Sikh devotees who were recently brought back to Punjab from the Sri Huzur Sahib Gurdwara in Nanded, Maharashtra.

Due to the lockdown, thousands of pilgrims from Punjab were trapped in the Sri Huzur Sahib Gurdwara in Nanded. During the second phase of the lockdown, when the demand for bringing these devotees back was raised, the Punjab government decided to send buses. Through these buses, Sikh devotees returned to Punjab. Surprisingly, the devotees were sent home without examining the corona. Now these people are coming out corona infected.
