Gangtok: Like other states of the country, Sikkim is also facing the havoc of the Corona epidemic. Earlier, corona did not have much effect here, but in recent times cases of infection are increasing. In view of this, the government has announced a week-long complete lockdown. There are a total of 305 cases of Corona in Sikkim out of which 213 were the number of active cases till Monday.

Earlier, the lockdown was also announced by Arunachal Pradesh. After this, Sikkim has also imposed a lockdown for a week in view of the increasing number of corona infected cases. Let us tell you that Sikkim is the last state in the country, where the infection of Kovid is being found at the earliest. To overcome the infection, the Sikkim government has announced a lockdown from 6 am on July 21 to 6 am on July 27. Sikkim Chief Secretary SC Gupta has issued a notification for its official announcement.

In the last 24 hours, 35 new cases of Corona have been registered in Sikkim. Of these, 14 cases have been reported from Rangpo, 9 Mamaring, 2 Timburbong, 7 Rongali and one Song Khola. All these cases have been found to be confined in antigen test and true net test. Along with this, RT PCR test of two people has also been done.
