Yesterday, a Mumbai session Court has acquitted singer Ankit Tiwari of the raping charges. A woman had accused him of rape but prosecution failed to support their claim during the trial. Also, Amit's brother Ankur who was accused of threatening the complainant has been acquitted by court.

Defense lawyer Rizwan Merchant said, "The prosecution could not prove its case."

"The police could not trace the witnesses, which included the medical officer had examined the girl. The other guests were also not found," defense lawyer Merchant also said.
