The mother of famous singer Arijit Singh has passed away. She was admitted to a kolkata hospital for the past few days. She was admitted to the hospital after being found infected with corona. She was on ECMO for a few days and her condition was critical. She died at 11 am on Thursday. Arijit Singh was very close to his mother.

It may be noted that the news of Arijit's mother being admitted to the hospital was confirmed by actress Swastika. She had posted on social media. Swastika wrote: Arijit Singh's mother needs A-blood. She is admitted to the Amri Dhakuria. Filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee had also requested the people. He had tweeted in Bengali seeking help for Arijit Singh's mother.

Coming to Arijit Singh's work front, he started his career in 2005. He had participated in singing reality show 'Fame Gurukul'. However, this did not earn him much name fame. Arijit has struggled a lot in his journey. He got recognition from the song Tum Hi Ho from the film Aashiqui 2. Arijit is known for his romantic songs.
