Situation worrying in Manipur, crowd sets fire to CM Biren Singh's venue, Internet shut down, 144 implemented

Imphal: Another big news has come to light after the incident of vandalism and arson at CM Biren Singh's program venue in Churachandpur in the state of Manipur in Northeast India. Here the Manipur government has suspended large gatherings and internet service. Actually, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh was about to come to Churachandpur. Here he had to inaugurate a gym and also address a rally.

 

But, even before his visit, a mob attacked his program venue and set it on fire after vandalizing it. This incident happened on Thursday. After this, Section 144 has been implemented along with suspension of internet services in the district. Earlier, after the mob attack on the venue, the police immediately swung into action and chased the mob away after reaching the spot. However, by then a lot of damage had already been done to the venue. At the same time, since this incident, there is a situation of tension in the area.

According to the report, the incident is from New Lamka. Here the crowd had put forward the open gym built in PT Sports Complex. Along with this, the venue of the program was damaged before the public meeting to be held at Sadbhav Mandap.
