Six Arrested in Bangladesh Over Gang-rape of Woman on Moving Bus

Dhaka: A new case of crime has recently come to light from Bangladesh's capital Dhaka. In fact, a 22-year-old girl was gangraped in a moving bus late last Friday night. The girl is said to have been raped by six persons. At the same time, it has been reported that the accused passengers drive the bus. The accused have been identified as Aryan, 18, Shaju, 20, Sumon Miah, 24, Monowar, 24, Shohag, 25, and Saiful Islam, 40.  According to the case registered, the victim was on her way home to Narayanganj from her sister's house in Manikgangaj.

Meanwhile, she reached Nabinagar bus stand at around 8 pm last Friday to catch another bus. Here the young woman met Nazmul, a well-known person to her. Further, inspector Ashulia police station said, "While they were waiting for another bus, a bus was arrived which Sumon was driving and Monowar and Saiful were present as assistants. He said they can take to Tongi Station Road. When the girl and Nazmal boarded the bus, the accused dropped the other passengers off the bus before their destination.''

The police official further said that the accused then took the girl and Nazmal hostage and took them back to Nabinagar. The girl was raped by everyone in a moving bus. When the police patrol heard Nazmal screaming, they stopped the vehicle and arrested everyone and freed the girl.
